Schaeffler Reports Three Divisions for the First Time and Confirms Guidance for the Year
Schaeffler presents world firsts – Technologies for the mobility of tomorrow

Global automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler announced its quarterly results for the first three months of 2018 today. As a result of the organizational realignment initiated last year, this is the first time the company is also reporting on the performance of its three divisions – Automotive OEM (64.2 percent of revenue), Automotive Aftermarket (12.5 percent of revenue), and Industrial (23.3 percent of revenue).

At the 11th Schaeffler Symposium, the automotive and industrial supplier will be presenting a large number of technology innovations to over 400 customers. The range extends from components and system solutions for optimizing powertrains based on internal combustion engines and the electrification of automobile drives for hybrid vehicles, and electric vehicles through to new vehicles concepts.

Schaeffler puts Industry 4.0 into practice
Schaeffler DuraSense is now also available for linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies

Schaeffler has been developing mechatronic components for a wide range of industrial drives for some years. These components are “enablers” for Industry 4.0 because they are equipped with sensor systems, actuators, control units, and software that enable new functions and business models.

Schaeffler integrates sensors and vibration analysis into its linear guidance systems and offers these mechatronic components with automated relubrication. The function was integrated into linear recirculating roller bearing and guideway assemblies in 2017 and is now also available for linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies. The benefit extends far beyond the basic relubricating function.
